FAQs
-
Reformer Pilates is a full-body workout performed on a machine called a reformer. It uses springs, straps, and resistance to strengthen, lengthen, and tone your muscles while improving mobility and balance.
-
Unfortunately, no. Love Bird Yoga and Westform are separate entities. We use a booking software called Momence. You can create an account here.
-
Wear what you feel comfortable moving in. It is recommended that you wear fitted clothing not only so an instructor can better see your form, but to also protect your clothes from getting caught in the wheels or springs. And, GRIPPY SOCKS! Grippy socks give you better traction and are a requirement in our reformer classes. We have some for sale in the studio if you do not have a pair.
-
Not at all! We have classes designed for all levels. Beginners are always welcome - we’ll guide you through everything you need to know to feel comfortable and confident on the reformer in our Foundations classes. It is recommended that you take 10-12 Foundations classes before moving into All Levels. If it is in budget, we like to suggest privates for people that are new to reformer Pilates. It is the best way to learn the Pilates principles and ask all of your questions. LOOK FOR OUR INTRO PACKS!
-
Our reformer classes are intentionally small — up to five reformers per session — so you’ll get hands-on attention and individualized guidance throughout class.
Our mat classes are a more affordable option and less hands on. Classes are slightly bigger at ten people per session.
-
Most clients start feeling a difference after 5–8 classes. For best results, we recommend practicing 2–3 times per week to build strength, improve mobility, and maintain consistency.
-
Yes, when done correctly, Pilates helps strengthen your core and improve posture, which can relieve tension and prevent injury. Always let your instructor know about any injuries so we can modify exercises for you.
Know that your instructor is not a Physical Therapist and cannot give advice on injury recovery. It is always best to see a PT to have a diagnosis and be cleared for movement.
If cleared by a PT we are happy to work one on one with injured clients and create classes around PT recommendations.
-
Yes! We offer both in home and in studio private sessions. Privates are a great way to start if you’re new to Pilates, recovering from an injury, or want personalized attention.
-
You can easily book classes online through our website or scheduling app. We recommend booking early - with only four reformers, spots fill up quickly!
-
We understand life happens! Please cancel at least 12 hours in advance so someone else can take your spot. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged a fee ( group classes with membership have a $15 Late Cancellation Fee, group classes without membership and private sessions have a $25 fee.)

In most cases, yes! Talk to your doctor to make sure you are cleared for this type of movement.
Always tell an instructor what trimester you are in. During pregnancy, especially second and third trimester, modifications are made to keep you and your baby safe.
If you are brand new to Pilates and pregnant, we highly recommend taking at least three privates so you can learn proper form and prenatal guidance/ modifications.
If you have been taking Pilates consistently and know proper form, our Mellow Flow class is the most friendly option for second and third trimester. Instructors will always help with modifications if needed!
We hope to offer prenatal specific classes in the future! If you and other mamas are looking for this, please let us know! We will try to add the class into our schedule.
